DJ CHEF'S BRIDES MAID & BACHELORETTE PARTY
PLANNING SURVIVAL GUIDE

Tips for planning your
bachelorette party
After
years of consulting brides, maid of honors and girls planning
bachelorette parties & bridal showers, I came up with these
planning tips to help you make planning the party go as smooth as
possible and help you avoid some problems I've seen happen when
these steps are not applied.
TIMELINE
Choose 1 person to be
in charge of Bachelorette Planning. If there are too many people
handling planning youre going to run into problems! Avoid the
potential set-backs and elect one person to make all the plans.
(If you have to consultant with the other brides maids choose at
the most 2...less Advil that way ;-) )
Call DJ CHEF and ask him about the party details, pricing etc. He
will explain everything and then send you a follow up email with
the details, photos etc.
Get a list from the
Bride of who she would like to invite to her Bachelorette Party
.
Call or email the
girls and see what 2 dates they will be available to party! (if
the Wedding is less than 3 months away, call the girls ASAP. Its
faster than emailing and you need to start planning!)
Choose the most
available date for everyone. Call the group and tell them to hold
the date and to send you their deposits to confirm their
participation. (Once you set a firm date it's amazing how people
who weren't available become available to celebrate their good
friends special night!)
Call DJ CHEF and tell
him to send you a contract for the date you have chosen. Once you
have received the contract sign and send back with your deposit
asap to ensure your date will still be available. (All dates are
first come first serve. Weekends are most desirable so they always
go first especially in the warmer months and busier times of the
year.)
A 50% deposit is required, so is best to have all the girls that
are participating in the celebration send you their 50%. This will
commit them to the party and avoid having drop offs and fence
hangers.
Once we receive your materials your party will be confirmed and
you can now relax and get ready to have a great time!
FAQ
Who pays for
all of this?
Although bridal showers are typically paid for by
the maid/matron of honor or the mother of the bride, the
Bachelorette party is typically paid for by each individual guest.
To keep things organized nominate 1 girl (usually the maid/matron
of honor) to be in charge of collecting all the money for the
evening from each girl.
Who pays for the Bride to Be's
expenses during her 'last night of freedom'?
This is a little trickier and each Bachelorette party I've seen
handles this differently.
#1: All the girls chip in
for the Bride's activities/expenses for the evening.
#2: A big sister or best
friend will pay for the bride's activities for the evening.
#3: Only the bridal party
will pay for the bride. The girls who aren't as close with the
bride are just responsible for their expenses for the evening.
When it's done this way, usually more girls will join in for the
Bachelorette party festivities.
#4: Then there are those
parties where the bride pays for her own activities.
#5: And of course, those
parties where the parent's pay for their daughter's expenses...or
better yet, those parties where the parent's of the bride pay for
the whole event.
